Due to impending family changes(!!!) and a hectic work schedule Annmarie is unable to deliver the Lancaster Tribal Spirit Drumming class at the moment, but up until recently Annmarie held weekly classes in Lancaster, UK. Having moved to the UK in 2006 Annmarie was missing her weekly drumming classes with John Bowker, and so decided she would have to start her own!!

Drumming with John for over ten years, Annmarie now has tribal spirit in her veins. “for me tribal spirit is about celebration, celebrating community and human potential”. Like other tribal spirit drumming classes, Annmarie works with the idea that ‘life is not a rehearsal’, while in each class time is taken to learn the rhythm and honouring the culture from which it has come, there is also time given to playing the rhythm…allowing it time to cook (as they say in drum speak!).

A safe space is created, where beginners are always welcome, and where there is also space for those more experienced to enjoy creating beautiful community centred, magical drum sounds!
